Top asked questions here at Two Buds Floral Artistry:

What will I need to provide to get a quote?

As the bride or groom, you have probably started to create and develop your own collection of photos, images, and ideas that have caught your eye. We suggest that you have the following to share with us so we can provide you with a quote that will match your vision: Inspiration photos of the bouquet or floral arrangements that you like - these should reflect the size, style and shape that you like best;  your venue details; your colour palette or style/theme; and any other inspiration photos you care to share.  We will gladly answer any questions you may have about your wedding flowers, and walk you through the wedding flower selection process so that you will be confident in the care and attention to detail for this aspect of your wedding.

How do I establish a budget for my wedding flowers?

Wedding flowers are one of the most important elements of your big day (we think anyways!).  Flowers will appear in most photographs taken at the wedding and are considered one of the most memorable aspects of the wedding by guests and attendees. It can be difficult to say you should spend 'x' amount on florals, and the costs can vary wildly depending on seasonality, product choice and the shear amount of floral you want in your decor.  The budget should consider your bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, ceremony flowers, and reception centerpieces.  It's always a good idea to make a dream list of everything floral you would like to have a quote for and from there you can pick and choose what you decide to go with.  We will work with you and can, in most cases make adjustments so you can customize your order to work within your budget.

Will you work within my budget?

Yes, we will try our best to work within the budget you have set - of course this depends on the vision you have... but we will make suggestions and recommendations to do so.  We will take your budget into consideration from the very beginning of the planning process, so that we can provide you with the best advice as to how we can achieve your desired look while maximizing your budget.

Are there any hidden charges in your quotes?

No, we don't believe in hidden charges, we want you to know from the beginning what your flowers are going to cost.  The only reason why your quote would change in price is because you may have changed the contents of your order, which will reflect the adjustment.  Delivery and setup charges are separate from the cost of your pieces and will be reflected in your quote/order as necessary.

How far in advance do I need to book my wedding flowers?

Have you selected a location for your ceremony and/or reception? Do you have an idea for your wedding theme? Have you selected your dress? Do you know how many guests you are expecting to attend your wedding? If the answer to these questions is 'yes', you should start thinking about what type of flowers you would like. It is never too soon to contact us about a booking for your wedding, though generally, communication should begin about 4-12 months before your big day. We suggest that you book your date as soon as possible to avoid any unnecessary schedule conflicts!

How do I know what flowers are in season?

Timing is very important, especially when choosing the flowers for your big day! Whether you want your bridal bouquet to compliment the rustic earthy tones of autumn, or wish to recreate an enchanting English Garden with your floral centerpieces at an outdoor spring reception, we can assist you in your flower selection. We work directly with our suppliers to provide you with the season's freshest blooms for your big day. We will discuss seasonal flowers to match your color scheme and the overall theme of your wedding.

Why do flower prices vary throughout the year?

We will exert the utmost effort in filling every need and satisfying all requests of our clients, however, the cost of flowers does vary throughout the year. If a certain flower is not in season, it may be more difficult, if at all possible, to attain. With that difficulty, there is often an increase in price, so we are more than happy to offer an alternative should you decide that the desired flower does not fit in accordance to your budget. Flower prices are often increase during holiday times, such as Mother's Day and Valentine's Day, due to high demand, handling costs and the price increase set by growers.

What if my chosen flowers aren't available?

Sometimes flowers ordered, arrive damaged, in the wrong colour, and sometimes don't arrive at all.  Occasionally, substitutions may be necessary to create the bouquet or pieces as discussed while maintaining your vision.  Care is taken to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal value, similar size and shape, as well as colour.
